Horse Riding
It would be a difficult challenge to find a better place for horse riding than Wilf’s Cabin which is situated deep in the heart of the New Forest and 1.5 miles from the nearest highway. Just tack-up your horse and open the gate to the stable yard and you are on the Forest - there is absolutely no road work from here. The A31 and the A35, the two major roads that cross the New Forest, are equipped with numerous underpasses so it is possible, from Wilf’s Cabin, to ride over the whole 144 square miles of inclosures, lawns and heathland, without the need to cross anything more than a minor by-way.
For our four legged guests there are two, dry and airy loose boxes with an attached tack room with hot and cold water. There are wheel barrows and the usual stable yard equipment. Rubber matting and Aubious beds are provided within the cost of your stay and hay can be supplied at current cost price, you just need to bring your feed and your horses.
